Are Introverts Better At Sales?

Introducing Episode 5 of TR Talk with Dave Mattson

Dave Mattson is a best-selling author, keynote speaker and CEO of Sandler Training — the largest sales & management training organization in the world with over 250 operating units in 25 countries.

Dave is also a self-proclaimed introvert, and in this episode, we dive into how attitude, behavior, and technique all play an equal role in driving success, how millennials can manage-up with their bosses and how to earn credibility even if you are the youngest person in the room.

I have found Dave’s thought on introverted salespeople to be true. Generally, when you think of a salesperson, some of the adjectives that come to mind are outgoing, people-person, and a good speaker. However, some of the best salespeople that I know are introverted. Similar to Dave, they use their skill of listening to their advantage. I wouldn’t necessarily say that introverts or extroverts are “better” at sales, but if you’re able to take the good qualities of each side then you will be in great shape.
